SJ Hamill working in partnership with Perquimans County, has completed construction of a new Marine Industrial Park designed to entice developing businesses in the growing region of northeast North Carolina. Construction for the new marine industrial park facility consisted of east and west bulkheads; 1,192 WF steel sheet pile with a CIP concrete cap; 117 EA 3 inch diameter tie rods; 1,023 LF of CIP concrete deadman; site clearing & grubbing; 2,000 SY of rip rap slope protection, and 149,800 CY of mechanical dredging. SJ Hamill worked with Perquimans County and it’s design engineer Moffatt & Nichol to complete the project while working around state mandated moratoriums that required around the clock dredging. The project was closed out and handed over to the owner in May of 2024.
